It’s the Spencer Dinwiddie show in Dallas.
The veteran point guard has taken the reins for the Mavericks since the blockbuster Luka Doncic trade, and he draws a favorable match up against the lowly Nets on Monday.
Over his last six games, Dinwiddie is averaging 21.3 points, putting up double-digit shot attempts in each game.
During that stretch, he’s also averaging 6.3 assists.
In other words, that ball has been in Dinwiddie’s hands a ton with Doncic, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis and others off the court.

Nets vs. Mavericks prediction
(7:30 p.m. ET, YES)
The 31-year-old Colorado product is coming off his best game of the season, an upset win over the upstart Pistons.
During that game, Dinwiddie dropped a season-high 31 points on 9-of-12 shooting with 11 made free throws and seven assists, leading the Mavericks to just their second win this month.
I like this matchup for Dinwiddie despite the Nets being a decent team defensively overall.
A lot of Brooklyn’s strength on defense stems from Nik Claxton’s size inside and Cam Johnson on the perimeter.
Dinwiddie will likely avoid both of those players, for the most part, operating outside the paint while Johnson is preoccupied with bigger Mavericks players, like P.J. Washington.
The Mavericks’ season may be in the toilet, but someone has to handle the ball and score.
Davis is expected back in the lineup soon, so jump on the Dinwiddie train while you still have a chance.
