Max Kranick remembers. Then a Mets fan, he grew up just outside Scranton, Pa., with season tickets and would make the trip across Pennsylvania to Shea Stadium on plenty of Sundays to catch games with his family.
Now a Mets reliever, he was asked how he would describe the team’s fans to Juan Soto, who will formally meet them Friday.
“Really passionate,” Kranick said with a smile. “Really loud.”
A 15-year marriage between a superstar and a team that won him for $765 million this winter will commence with its newlywed stage when the Mets open a series and their home portion of the schedule against the Blue Jays.
