A little polar bear is on the way.
On Saturday morning, Pete Alonso and his wife, Haley Walsh, announced that they’re expecting their first child through a series of lovey-dovey photos of the couple with several ultrasound images on Instagram.
“baby alonso 2025 🤍 we can’t wait for this next chapter of becoming mom and dad,” Walsh wrote as the caption.
Walsh wore a long white dress with her hair styled in beach wave curls while Alonso sported black pants and a black T-shirt as the two were photographed in what appears to be a part of Florida, underneath palm trees and along the water.
The couple has been together since 2015 after the two met while Alonso was playing summer baseball in the Cape Cod League when he was as student at the University of Florida.
Walsh was a Michigan State student at the time and the two maintained a long distance relationship until they finished school.
Alonso went on to pop the question in November 2018 and the two married in 2021 in Tampa, Florida.
Not only will Alonso be chasing down a World Series title after making it to the NLCS with the Mets last season, he will be taking a new challenge as a father.

To his family’s benefit, no moving will be involved — for now — as the first baseman and four-time All-Star signed a two-year, $54 million contract with the Mets, including an opt-out after 2025, after a a long free agency saga.
Through the first seven games of the season, Alonso’s bat has been hot, going 7-for-24 at the plate for a 1.183 OPS along with three home runs and 10 RBIs.
At Friday’s home opener, he homered in his first plate appearance to help the Mets go onto a 5-0 win over the Blue Jays and sit above .500 for the first time this season.
Alonso, who has 229 career homers, is chasing Darryl Strawberry’s club mark of 252.
