Hailey Van Lith sealed her big night Monday at the 2025 WNBA Draft with a kiss from her biggest supporter.
Shortly after being selected 11th overall by the Chicago Sky, the former TCU Horned Frogs star embraced boyfriend Jalen Suggs, a guard on the Orlando Magic, as Yahoo Sports captured the couple kissing inside the Shed venue in New York.
Van Lith is coming off a solid season at TCU, averaging 15.2 points per game, 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists in her fifth and final year of eligibility.
The move to Chicago reunites the 23-year-old guard with former LSU teammate Angel Reese, the Sky’s seventh overall selection last year.
“We ain’t do it right the first time,” Reese posted Monday on X. “Let’s run it backkkkk.”
Van Lith, who began her collegiate career at Louisville in 2020, transferred to LSU for the 2023-24 season following the Lady Tigers’ national championship win in the 2023 NCAA tournament.
Van Lith saw a dip in production compared to her previous season at Louisville, where she averaged 19.7 points per game.
In her lone season in Baton Rouge, Van Lith averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 assists per game.
She transferred to TCU last April after LSU was bounced from the Elite Eight by Iowa.
Van Lith and Suggs, 23, are believed to have started dating around 2021, the same year the former Gonzaga Bulldog was selected fifth overall by the Magic in the 2021 NBA Draft.
He had been averaging 16.2 points per game this season before being shut down for the year in March after undergoing knee surgery.
Suggs caught up with The Score on Monday and revealed he’d like to team up with Van Lith in a dream two-versus-two matchup between teammate Paolo Banchero and Dallas Wings rookie Paige Bueckers, who was taken first overall Monday.
“I think we’ll take it,” Suggs said. “I got full confidence in us.”
