FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A Fayetteville woman not seen in almost eight months was found dead in Robeson County this week, police said.
Annie Lock, 27, was last seen on Aug. 17, 2024, in the area of Kiana Lane. She was reported missing on Oct. 10, 2024, according to the Fayetteville Police Department.
On April 13, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said a body was located in water in the area of NC 72 West and Buie Philadelphus Road between Pembroke and Red Springs.
According to Fayetteville police, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the body as Lock.
Fayetteville police said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding Lock’s disappearance and death. The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation.
